Ariel Lopez - Producer/Director

Ariel is an Albuquerque native who found her way into the film industry by way of a sociology degree and a deep love for storytelling. She started out as a location intern and quickly worked her way up to location manager, contributing to projects like Sicario, The Curse, and When You Finish Saving the World. Along the way, she’s had the chance to collaborate with incredible directors who helped shape her approach to creative problem-solving, teamwork, and thinking outside the box.

Her directorial debut short film, Solstice, screened at festivals across the United States in 2021, and her latest project, The Agency, is currently in post-production. Whether managing logistics on the ground or developing her own stories behind the camera, Ariel brings a grounded, thoughtful, and passionate energy to every project she’s part of.
